This privacy policy applies to the collection and use of personal data. This data may be collected when you visit our website, when you make an enquiry or booking via our website, or when you purchase other services, such as a voucher, or when you subscribe to a newsletter. We would like to provide you with the following information to give you an overview of the types of data that are collected, how they are used and why data is collected. Please be assured that the protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us.

How is personal data collected, stored and used?

At Hotel Mitterwirt, we collect personal data in order to provide you with the best possible service, to keep you informed and to be able to offer you a range of services that meets your needs. We ask for personal data that helps us to provide you with an offer or, if you wish, a reservation confirmation, and thus include your data in our hotel programme. We limit ourselves to data that is necessary for the fulfilment of the order or the pre-contractual offer. Furthermore, you help us to keep you up to date on special offers that may be of interest to you and news for your holiday. You can, of course, inform us at any time – easily and free of charge – if you no longer wish to receive further product offers, news or special offers. Your personal data will be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the services listed and as long as we assume that you may have a legitimate interest in receiving further information and as long as no revocation has been made.

What data is collected?

In order to fulfil your requests, such as receiving an offer, making a booking, purchasing a voucher or subscribing to a newsletter, only data that is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for providing pre-contractual information will be requested and collected. This may include: first name, surname, postal address, telephone number, email address. Further data may be requested in order to find out your holiday interests – this is not necessary for an offer or a reservation and is therefore not mandatory.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to correct your data: If you notice in our communication that we have recorded data that is incomplete or incorrect, please let us know the corrections. You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. Please inform us by email or telephone if you wish to exercise these rights. We kindly point out that we require a copy of your ID for telephone or email enquiries to ensure that you are making a legitimate request.

To whom is your data passed on and, if so, why?

We at Hotel Mitterwirt hereby confirm that we do not sell any guest data to third parties for marketing or other purposes. In order for you to receive our company information, reservations and/or orders, we work with external partners who perform these services for us. These include, for example, printing companies and letter shops that ensure that your desired mail arrives at your address correctly, as well as newsletter distributors who are exclusively order processors with whom we have a data processing agreement and who are required to comply with the highest standards of data protection. The setting of links from the hotel website to other external websites does not involve the transfer of personal data, but is solely for the purpose of providing further information. We accept no responsibility for the content of other external, non-hotel websites. These may include links to sports partners, leisure facilities in the region, mountain railways, tourist associations, etc. Our guests decide for themselves whether they wish to follow these links or not. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have by telephone or email.

Information security and data protection

We take technical measures to increase information security in data protection and to protect your data from loss, theft, unauthorised access, disclosure and destruction. In areas where credit card details can be entered via the website, we use SSL encryption. This ensures the confidentiality of your personal credit card details during transactions over the Internet.

We are delighted to receive numerous applications by email and to receive application documents from applicants. Applicant data is stored for a maximum of seven months for the purposes of the application, employee recruitment and interest in a position that is advertised or may be advertised in the future.
